Many people consider lying on the beach and soaking up the sun as the perfect way to spend a day in Malibu, California. And they wouldn’t be wrong. However, there are other ways you can spend 24 hours in Malibu and still have a great time.

If you don’t want to go all-in on the beach and see what else Malibu has to offer, here are some things you can do.

Have a Breakfast at Malibu Pier

The best way to start your day is to get a filling breakfast. And the best place to do so is the Malibu Pier. Here you can find numerous establishments offering great food, but our recommendation is to go with good ol’ pancakes and eggs.

Check Out Adamson House

Just a short walk from Malibu Pier will get you to Adamson House. The building is one of Malibu’s must-see attractions due to its unique architectural design. You’ll also be amazed by its intricate interior decorations, especially the ceramic tiles that caused the Adamson House to be nicknamed as “Taj Mahal of Tile.”

Hit the Beach

Your next stop has to be the beach. Dip your toes in the water, go for a swim, catch some waves or simply enjoy the sun and the sand under your feet. While there, you might as well grab some lunch in one of the beach restaurants or bistros. The food choice is up to you, but you won’t make a mistake if you get fish and chips.

Visit the Getty Villa

The Getty Villa is part educational center and part museum dedicated to the culture and art of ancient Rome and ancient Greece. Here you can find all sorts of intriguing exhibits and check out some of the 44,000 antique items that are part of the museum’s collections.

Party at One of the Beach Clubs

Malibu has tons of great beach clubs that get alive at night. Pick one, order some shots, and get loose.
