Greek islands are our vision of a perfect holiday. There are so many of them and they have their own perks, but it’s pretty impossible to go wrong whichever you choose. Here are three of them that are calling our names this summer. Have you visited any from the list?
Skiathos
Skiathos is a perfect destination if you’re the type of traveler who just wants to sit on a sandy beach and enjoy a good book. It’s the smallest and the most popular of the Sporades islands. It’s especially popular with families, but great for anyone who just wants a peaceful vacation and swimming in crystal-clear sea.
Lefkada
If you’re looking for a more active vacation, go to Lefkada. The south coast of the island is ideal for windsurfing and you’ll see many kite-surfers there as well. You can go to bars, do watersports, or explore the small isles by boat.
Paxos
Paxos can’t offer you lux 5-star hotels or sandy beaches, but there are many other impressive things. You can swim in an electric blue Ionian sea, explore the Venetian architecture in port Gaios, and spend your days in the waterfront cafes.
