Genoa is one of Italy’s most charming cities, and you won’t be disappointed if you visit it with your entire family. Family-friendly attractions are scattered all around it, and here are three that you shouldn’t miss for the world while visiting.

Aquarium of Genoa

If a visit to an aquarium happens to be your idea of family fun, you’ll be happy to hear that Genoa has its own. To make the whole thing even better, the Aquarium of Genoa is the largest in all of Italy, and it’s home to around 70 tanks hosting over 400 marine and freshwater species, ranging from dolphins and seals to sharks and jellyfishes.

Galata Museum

Genoa is known for its rich maritime scene, and this museum is the best place to explore it. Located in close proximity to the Port of Genoa, Galata is the largest museum of its kind in the Mediterranean, and you’ll stumble upon many reconstructed ships, original artifacts, and even a moored submarine while roaming its grounds.

Neptune Replica

Most kid-friendly attractions in Genoa are connected to the city’s nautical past, and that also happens to be the case with this one. It’s a ship replica of a 17th-century Spanish galleon of the same name, originally built for the 1985 movie Pirates.
