From the elephant sanctuaries of Cambodia to the cultural highlands of Sulawesi, get ready for an adventure that’s anything but ordinary.

Mondulkiri, Cambodia

Mondulkiri is Cambodia’s largest but least populated province, known for its dense forests, waterfalls, and hills. It is the perfect destination for eco-tourists and nature lovers. Make sure to check out the Elephant Valley Project, where they can observe rescued elephants in their natural habitat.

@chayse.sakura Mondulkiri, Cambodia📍We spent a couple days hiking through the jungle and caring for rescue elephants. Not all “sanctuaries” by are created equal but @Mondulkiri Project works to provide protection for the elephants and forest while also bringing opportuniy and income to the indigenious community they partner with. A truly unforgetttable experience if you get the chance to go #Cambodia#mondulkiri #elephantsanctuary #seasia #southeastasia #adventure ♬ misses – Dominic Fike

Sapa, Vietnam

While not completely unknown, Sapa offers a more secluded experience if you stray from the well-trodden paths. Nestled in the northern mountains, this area is famous for its terraced rice fields, rugged scenery, and cultural diversity, home to several ethnic tribes. Hiking to remote villages, experiencing homestays, and enjoying the cooler climate make Sapa a refreshing escape from city life routines.

@heyfionawang Sapa Vietnam! The first time i went to Vietnam I had Sa Pa on my bucketlist but I took it off because some reviews on the internet were saying it’s overrated. But I decided to take a risk this time and visit Sa Pa and boy IT WAS AN EXPERIENCE. We were super unlucky but there was sooo much fog (which is actually not common) so for most of it we couldn’t see anything. But despite that, the atmosphere, the mountains, the people, the culture ITS REALLY MAGICAL. So yes add Sa Pa to your bucketlist but just remember to bring clothes because it’s actually cold! #sapavietnam #vietnam #travel #travelvlog #vietnamese ♬ original sound – Fiona | Travel & Food
