Vietnam is a country in Southeast Asia that is super popular with travelers and vacationers worldwide. The capital city of Hanoi is known for being vibrant and energetic, and for its intriguing architecture and historical sites. Hanoi is an amazing place to stay on your travels and has endless exciting attractions on offer. While there, here are three things to add to your itinerary.

Walk Around Hoàn Kiếm Lake

This large freshwater lake in the center of the city offers a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy some space and fresh air. Surrounded by luscious trees, wandering around the edge of this lake will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Take a Tour of the Temples

There are so many magnificent old temples dotted across this bustling city. The Temple of Literature is one of the oldest sites in Hanoi and a beautiful sight to see, and the One Pillar Pagoda is a lovely representation of a lotus flower.

Explore the Old Quarter

In the center of Hanoi, you’ll find the iconic Old Quarter which consists of tiny streets filled with market stalls and street vendors. You may well find some unique and intriguing items here, but even if you’re not looking to buy anything then simply wandering around to soak in the atmosphere is an absolute must. However, as with the rest of the city, you need to be careful of the traffic on the roads in this area.
