Packing for winter trips can turn into a true nightmare, especially if you have a limited amount of room at your disposal. If you’re struggling to fit everything in your suitcase or trying to travel light, here are three items that you should never double down on.

Boots

One good pair of boots is all you’ll need on your winter trip, and you don’t even have to pack it at all. Boots are heavy and they take up a lot of space and that’s reason enough why they don’t belong inside your suitcase. Opt for a pair in a neutral color, put it on before heading to the airport, and you’ll be good to go.

Jackets

Jackets aren’t especially heavy, but they’re bulky and take up a lot of space, and that’s why you should always stick to the one you’re already wearing. Just like with boots, opt for the one that pairs well with everything you wear, and make your outfits pop with scarves and hats.

Bulky Clothes

Warm clothes are often bulky and they’ll take up a lot of space in your suitcase. That’s why you should consider packing lighter clothes that you can layer. You can also wear your bulkiest sweater or hoodie while you travel so you could wash it and use it again.
