Coming home after a vacation is always bittersweet. The rollercoaster of emotions include sadness that the trip is over, happiness over being back in the comfort of your own home, and the slight anxiety about all the admin that comes with returning to normal life. Here are some hacks to make the adjustment a little easier.

Unpack Immediately

Unpacking is usually the biggest hassle after a vacation, so get it out of the way early. If you’re traveling with a partner, sort the clean and dirty clothes between both of your suitcases so you can throw all those those that need to be cleaned straight from the “dirty suitcase” into the washing machine as soon as you get back!

Order In

No one really wants to cook the day they get back, do they? Take the evening off and order in. Even better if you were missing your favorite pizza joint while away! You can also place an order of groceries to arrive the same day that you do so you don’t have to schlep to the shops.

Take It Easy

Traveling is fun, but it’s also tiring. As soon as you’ve unpacked and eaten, hop in the shower and get into bed. Put fresh sheets on your bed the day you leave for your trip so that you’re getting into a nice, clean bed when you get back.
