Thanos turns to jelly
We all know how smart of a villain Thanos is. Not every day does somebody manage to collect not one, but all six infinity stones. So we trust him to know a thing or two about victory and defeat.
In Avengers: Infinity War, during his opening monologue, Thanos says: “I know what it’s like to lose”- “It turns the legs to jelly.” In the Following movie, Avengers: Endgame, when he realizes that he lost – the first thing Thanos does is sit down.
I hope they remember you
Tony Stark had a number of close brushes with death before ultimately giving his life to save the universe, but none closer than his fight with Thanos and his betrayal by Obadiah Stane.
As A few viewers pointed out, the two scenes share very similar compositions and create a very interesting parallel between two of Tony’s near final moments, with both villains kneeling over Tony when they deliver the final blow. This gives closure to Tony’s arc, which is riddled with villains who try to end him. But just like he beat Obadiah, he beat Thanos as well.
Steve and Bucky’s goodbye
Steve Rogers and James ‘Bucky’ Barnes have been through more than two friends can ever dream of going through together – a world war, brainwashing, Avengers-ing and so much more. In Avengers: Endgame when Cap is leaving in order to return the stones, the Avengers are expecting him to be back.
Only Bucky tells his friend goodbye because he knows that Steve is not planning on coming back. How does he know this? Steve obviously told only his best friend this plan, and Bucky got to say his goodbye.
Selfie time with Tony
We would totally be freaking out if the most famous and rich person in the world was standing right next to us. Oh, and he’s a superhero to boot.
In Avengers: Age of Ultron, while Tony is visiting the NEXUS in search of Ultron, the interns in the background can be seen getting very excited – so much so that one asks her friend to snap a selfie of her with Iron Man. We can’t say that we disagree with her tactics.
Jarvis for the win
Let’s show some love to Jarvis, Iron Man’s AI assistant. In Marvel’s The Avengers, when Hawkeye suggests shooting the aliens down from corners due to their lack of mobility, Jarvis searches for a corner route and plots a course to it. This can be seen on the bottom of Tony’s helmet display, so Tony can find a good corner to shoot down some chitauri invaders.
Now that’s some serious dedication by the trusty artificial intelligence, to know how to apply the best strategy in the heat of the moment, and some amazing attention to details by the VFX crew.
A very perishable rock
Thor was not the only one to suffer some great losses during the events of Thor: Ragnarök. His two new besties, Korg and Miek also lost quite a bit.
As a way of dealing with their grief, the three hang out and play Fortnite together all day. In Avengers: Endgame, moss can be seen growing on Korg, because of the lazy life he and Thor are living. We can only feel too sorry for him though, since he is Perishable, as he said.
