Ile de Re is bordered by seemingly endless stretches of golden sandy beaches. Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré tends to be the busiest, but there are many quieter beaches, where you can peacefully gaze into the Atlantic horizon.
The Cycling Routes
Cycling is undoubtedly the best way to get around the island. There are dedicated cycle lanes alongside the road if you want to jump on your bike and head to the market, or you could cycle at your own pace through the open fields and vineyards.
