A Wallet Forgotten on a Plane Has Now Traveled to 35 Cities!

Losing things while flying is annoying. Sometimes it’s something small like an earring (still annoying), but other times it’s something more significant like a cellphone. For a Missouri man, it was his wallet.

During his American Airlines flight, John Lewis lost his wallet. As it turns out, the money pouch has now become even more well-traveled than he has!

It just so happens that Lewis had placed an AirTag in his wallet. The little Apple gadget is a tracking device that helps users find items that are often misplaced like keys and, well, wallets.

Using the Find My app on his smartphone, the passenger discovered the adventures that his missing article has been on.

“I’m able to trace my wallet and it’s still on the plane and it has gone to over 35 cities,” he revealed in a video posted on social media. Although Lewis contacted the airline, he was told that the plane had been thoroughly cleaned.

“Come on now… help your boy out,” the desperate man wrote while addressing American Airlines in the caption of his Instagram. “I only fly with you and you treat me like you don’t even know me. Like I said, I know it’s not your fault that I left the wallet (even though that flight was delayed over an hour so I was in a rush to sprint through the airport to get to my next flight and overbooked that I didn’t have my wallet), but come on…… I’ve been more loyal than a politician’s parents lol.”

We hope the well-traveled wallet returns home sooner rather than later.
