Rome is a city rich in historical, archaeological sites that have become a household name all over the world. If you only have one day in the city, you can visit some of the sites mentioned in this article, to get a sense of the real Rome. Here is a suggestion for a one day visit to Rome.

The main attractions you will not want to miss include: the Vatican, the Trevi Fountain (Wishing Fountain), the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, and the museums on Capitoline Hill. All of these places can be seen from the outside and be combined in one walking trip.

If you choose to visit the Vatican, keep in mind that there may be long queues at the entrance, and a visit can take many hours at the expense of other sites you wish to visit.

In addition, it is recommended to visit one of the stunning sites in the city, such as the Borghese Gardens, Bernini Palace, Catacombs, or Via Veneto.

Spend the evening on one of the piazzas; for example, the Pantheon or the Trevi Fountain. With an espresso cup and pizza, it’s a perfect end to a great day in this great city.
