Austria has a lot more to offer to tourists and visitors besides its stunning capital Vienna. If you are planning a visit to the country, make sure to also put some of the following Austrian cities on your list of stops.

Graz

The thing that will impress you most about Graz is its Old Town, which has been part of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites list since 1999. The historic part of the city is renowned for its mixture of architectural styles, picturesque sights, and breathtaking townscapes. Austria’s second-largest city will also win you over with its abundance of cultural venues and events, amazing food—having been proclaimed a City of Culinary Delights in 2008—and a number of other intriguing tourist attractions.

Salzburg

If you are looking for a destination that offers a blend of urban attractions and scenic landscapes, this is a must-visit. Salzburg is a tourist hotspot thanks to its Baroque architecture that dominates the cityscape, while the surrounding Alps provide a perfect getaway for those looking to be closer to nature. Salzburg also has a rich music history, which isn’t a surprise considering its birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and you’ll be in proximity of a venue with quality music at any time during your exploration of the city.

Innsbruck

Innsbruck is the place that offers some of the best winter sports opportunities in this part of the world. The city is surrounded by a number of ski resorts, some of which are accessible by cable cars, making it easy to have a few ski sessions whenever you are in the mood for that. Of course, there are plenty of other tourist attractions here, including historic buildings and monuments, charming Christmas markets, unusual museums, and plenty of art galleries and cultural spots.
