Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Howl’s Moving Castle are only some of the iconic movies that Studio Ghibli gave us over the decades. Japan is home to many tourist attractions paying homage to their animated masterpieces – including these three in Tokyo.

Ghibli Museum

If you can only see one Studio Ghibli-related spot during your visit to Tokyo, it should be this one. In addition to featuring exhibitions and recreated sets, Ghibli Museum also shows short movies and hosts annual exhibitions, each focusing on a certain aspect of the studio’s work.

Shiro-Hige’s Cream Puff Factory

If you’re a Studio Ghibli fan with a sweet tooth, we’ve got a thing just for you. This café has been officially approved by Studio Ghibli and it’s home of the only Totoro cream puff in Japan!

Ghibli Clock

This enormous clock in front of the Nippon TV’s headquarters was created by Hayao Miyazaki himself. Fans of Studio Ghibli noticed it bears a strange resemblance to Howl’s Moving Castle, but this connection has never been confirmed.
