Pub crawls are an extremely popular activity with young travelers, especially in such European cities as Prague and Budapest. Many tour companies these days offer organized pub crawls, but how do they work, and are they worth the price?
Picking the Right Pubs
One of the best things about organized pub crawls is that they’re taking you to the best places in the city—but they’re not that hard to find. Five minutes on Google is all it takes to do some research and find the best places on your own, and you won’t have trouble reaching them since they’re usually located next to each other.
Faster Access?
Pub crawls often promise faster access and free booze at some of the top pubs and clubs, but is this worth paying extra? If you’re short on time, it certainly is, as long as the pub crawl fits into your budget.
Better Company?
You might be tempted to join an organized pub crawl as a solo traveler so you wouldn’t have to go out alone, but it’s not a must. If you’re staying at a hostel, you can easily make plans with other guests or simply meet some people once you’re out.
