Toronto, Canada, has so many amazing things to offer to its visitors, and you will want to experience as much of them as you can. Avoiding the following tourist traps will go a long way in helping you do that.
The Distillery District
The Distillery District consists of several Victorian Industrial buildings that were repurposed into shops, restaurants, and cultural venues. It is considered one of Toronto’s tourist hotspots, but you would be just fine if you skipped a visit. The shops and restaurants are considered pricey, and you’ll appreciate the heritage buildings only if you are an architecture or history buff.
CN Tower
It is completely fine if you want to check out CN Tower, one of Toronto’s most famous landmarks. But there is really no need to get in. You are better saving your money than paying expensive tickets for its observation deck or dining out at its 360 Restaurant, which doesn’t have glowing reviews.
Eaton Center
Eaton Center is one of Toronto’s biggest shopping malls, so it is understandable that tourists want to see it. However, it isn’t all that different than any other shopping mall in a big city. You’ll find expensive stores, pricey restaurants, and not much to do besides window shopping.
