Meeting different animals along your travels is an adventure by itself, especially if it’s a characteristic species. Here are some interesting locations where you can meet gorgeous creatures and be in touch with nature.

In Scotland, at the Shetland Islands you can see a puffin, a bird that everyone loves. These small birds will bring a smile on your face with their adorable looks. You will most likely meet them on grassy cliffs from April all through the middle of August.

Leatherback sea turtles are a wonderful sight in Trinidad, and you’ll need a permit to visit their nesting sites. Almost 10,000 turtles come every year to nest, and the female can lay eight eggs multiple times during the breeding season. The baby turtles come out after two months.

Humpback whales have two main spots – southeastern Alaska during summer, and Maui, Hawaii during winter. Around Wailea and Lahaina are probably the best places where you can witness how a giant baby whale plays along with its mother, and they both jump out of the water.

Madagascar is maybe best known for this species – lemurs. Over 100 different species live here, so if you want to see them, visit the Andasibe National Park.
