Cloud Gate

Cloud Gate, designed by renowned conceptual artist Anish Kapoor, is considered one of Chicago’s most famous landmarks despite being installed only in 2006. The sculpture is best known for its shiny outside, inspired by liquid mercury, and unusual shape that resembles a bean. The latter inspired an affectionate nickname, “The Bean.” Cloud Gate attracts more than five million tourists each year.

Crown Fountain

Crown Fountain is arguably the second-most-popular art installation in Millennium Park. Designed by Spanish artist Jaume Plensa, the installation consists of two huge towers discharging water into a black granite pool. Each tower also displays the faces of Chicago residents through LEDs.

Lurie Garden

If you are more into nature’s art, then head to Lurie Garden. This astonishing green space is a great place for taking relaxing walks and enjoying an impressive number of plants, flowers, trees, and bird species. As a bonus, you’ll be treated to an amazing view of the Chicago skyline.

McCormick Tribune Plaza

McCormick Tribune Plaza is a great choice regardless of the time of the year you choose to visit Chicago. During winter, the place features an ice skating rink that is free to use for every Millennium Park visitor. And in warmer months, you can enjoy the largest al fresco dining area in the whole city.
