Bratislava is one of Europe’s most underrated capital cities, but that doesn’t take away from its beauty. Like many other major cities in Europe, the Slovakian capital is a heaven on Earth for architecture lovers, and here are some of its very best architectural gems.

Palaces and Castles

Fans of classic architecture will feel right at home in Bratislava because this city happens to be home to both medieval castles to baroque palaces. Bratislava Castle and Devin Castle are a huge hit with tourists, but you should also consider visiting Presidential Palace and Primatial Palace.

Bridges

SNP Bridge is one of the first things that comes to mind when someone mentions Bratislava since it’s one of the symbols of the city. If you have a soft spot for bridges, also make sure to check out Apollo Bridge and the Old Bridge, which happens to be the city’s oldest standing bridge.

Churches and Cathedrals

Even if you don’t have a habit of checking out religious buildings during your travels, Bratislava’s Blue Church is worth the moment of your time. This lively building is one of the best examples of Art Nouveau style in the entire city and it will win you over with its vibrant color and playful design.
