People who probably could have taken their jobs more seriously

Sometimes, it can be all too easy to think you’re on the path to become employee of the month. The dreams of waking up early, heading out on a run, grabbing an iced coffee on the commute, and arriving early to the office sounds like a pretty good way to conduct yourself at work, right?

However, years of suffering through the grind can see some of us looking to take the easier path in life. After all, life can occasionally be about finding the shortcuts in life, not getting the same results through unnecessary hard work. While many of us dream about ways to slack off at work, it seems as though some people have taken it all the way as they’re living our ultimate dreams while they get paid. Could life get any better? We thought not.

There is being ironic, and then there’s standing next to a sign that explains precisely what you’re not doing. It looks as though these men have had everyone fooled thanks to their sign, but it wasn’t long before someone caught them in the act doing what they’re good at – pretending to be busy.

Thankfully, it looks as though someone found them on a break as they stood to catch up with their phones. Perhaps they should have chosen a more appropriate place to rest before getting caught red-handed? Who knows, they could have been catching up on all the latest work-related shenanigans they needed to know before they could carry on with their job.

You might have heard of the fantasy action series Game of Thrones, and perhaps now you’re wondering how you can make your very own Iron Throne? It’s a grand seat that only the best have been able to sit in over the years. However, it looks a though there’s no need to plunge yourself into an everlasting winter thanks to this man’s creation as he sits upon his polyester throne instead.

It’s not quite the masterpiece from the show, but at least this one comes with a broom, right? You don’t get that in Westeros. While it might not have been the productive day at work that his boss was hoping for, we’re just glad to see this worker finally got their chance to see what it feels like to be royalty. It looks as though this woman has learned how to make the most of her time on the checkout – by prepping her hair and preparing for her big outing. Not all of us would be brave enough to wear curlers out of the house let alone to work, but this woman is setting a whole new level of trends thanks to her time-saving hacks.

Sure, she could have scanned the milk quicker and rushed her customers out of the door. However, there’s no fun in running around, right? Sometimes, all it takes is a little pre-planning, and you could soon find yourself turning up to the party on time, even if you do have to work. Who would have thought we’d see the day?

While some people use their time on the checkout to fix their hair, it seems as though others can’t face the thought of being disturbed. Last time we checked, the “closed” signs were for when no one was available to work, not when they want to catch up with their latest TV show. Perhaps they were on their break and didn’t want to waste time making it to the break room? Maybe they needed to play a round of their game before it was too late to catch the days loot boxes?

Whatever the case, it seems as though this worker has learned they can get away with just about anything while still getting paid – and that’s the kind of job that we aspire to find. We just hope their boss didn’t catch them in the act. Hopefully, they could slide back to their position before they were spotted.
