Qutab Minar

This famous monument was built somewhere between 1199 and 1220. It’s one of the most visited tourist spots in New Delhi and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 239 ft tower is one of the most important examples of early Afghan architecture.

The Red Fort

Your next stop should be The Red Fort. Located in the old part of the city, the fort served as a residence of Mughal Emperors. It’s known for its astonishing architecture, intricate interior, and marble and floral decorations.

Swaminarayan Akshardham

Swaminarayan Akshardham is a temple that celebrates Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture. Besides the main building, the complex also contains a water show, thematic garden, and exhibitions.

Lodi Gardens

Lodi Gardens is New Delhi’s most popular park. Besides the green spaces and recreational areas, the park also provides a home to a number of monuments and historic landmarks like the Tomb of Sikandar Lodi, the Shisha Gumbad, and the Bara Gumbad.
