Beautiful temples are scattered all around Thailand, and you can find them in pretty much every major city in this Asian country. Chiang Rai is no different, and here are three stunning temples in this city and its surroundings that will knock you off your feet.

Wat Rong Khun

Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple, is Chiang Rai’s no. 1 tourist attraction and one of the most beautiful Buddhist temples in all of Thailand. It consists of a total of nine buildings and its intricately carved white walls have to be seen to be believed.

Wat Huay Pla Kang

Wat Huay Pla Kang may not look like much at first, but there are many bits and pieces on its grounds that make it truly amazing. In addition to a 9-floor pagoda and 12 surrounding structures, this temple will knock you off your feet with its gigantic Buddha sculpture.

Wat Rong Suea Ten

Intricately carved and colorful temples are truly thriving in Chiang Rai, but none of them compares to Wat Rong Suea Ten. Also known as the Blue Temple, this breathtaking building is equally vivid inside and out and it will rock your world with its vibrant walls and elaborate carvings.
