Amazing amusement parks are scattered all across Europe, but did you know that Denmark is home to some of the oldest and most epic in the world? This Scandinavian country is a heaven on Earth for amusement park lovers, and here are some of the very best it has in store.

Tivoli Gardens

One of Copenhagen’s top tourist spots, Tivoli Gardens is the first amusement park that people think of when someone mentions Denmark. Even if you’re not in the mood for an epic ride, Tivoli is still worth the visit for its landscaped gardens, countless food options, and frequent events that take place on its premises.

Bakken

Did you know that Denmark is home to the oldest operating amusement park in the world? Bakken opened its doors in 1583, and it’s still around. It’s pretty popular with tourists thanks to its close proximity to Copenhagen, and it has something in store for everyone, from relaxing rides to wild rollercoasters.

Legoland Resort

Bakken isn’t the only historic amusement park that Denmark has in store. The first Legoland Resort opened its doors over five decades ago in the Danish city of Billund, the birthplace of Lego. The theme park covers around 35 acres of land and it’s located next to the original Lego factory.
