Much of the world’s most beautiful flora has emerged from China’s fertile lands. Today, the country continues its botanical tradition with a number of beautifully organized botanical gardens. Here are some of the most majestic that you can visit.

Beijing Botanical Garden

Covering a large 564,000 square meters, these magnificent gardens are home to over 6,000 species of plant. It feels like a natural city in itself, complete with calming waterfalls and quaint bridges.

The Plum Garden, Wuxi

This botanical garden is home to one of the most arresting sights in China. It has about 4,000 fruit trees that all blossom at the same time every year. The sight is truly magical.

Wuhan Botanical Garden

this is one of the largest research-oriented gardens in China. It focuses on studying medicinal and endangered plants, and the largest medicinal herb, endangered species, and wild fruit gardens in China.

Lanzhou Botanical Garden

Constructed around a large pond, this botanical garden has around 200 species of plants that hug its banks. The vegetation reflects off of the still water to create a halo effect.
