Museum of East Tennessee History

Are you a history buff? You’ll love this museum, which focuses on the history of the area in which Knoxville is located. It tells the story of the city, from the indigenous tribes that once inhabited the area to the present day.

Sunsphere

Did you know that the 1982 World’s Fair was held in Knoxville? Well, when you travel there, you definitely won’t miss the Sunsphere, the monument and centerpiece of the fair. You can even take an elevator up to the top of this giant golden ball to see a beautiful panoramic view.
