Traveling is a perfect chance to relax and unwind, but most of us don’t really go completely off the grid during our travels. We need the internet to plan things out and keep in touch with our family, and here’s a couple of tips that could be useful if you’re struggling to find free Wi-Fi outside of your accommodation.

Public Spaces

If you need the internet to quickly check something, there’s a couple of places you can always go to. Airports, public libraries, malls and popular fast-food chains such as McDonald’s and Starbucks, usually have open Wi-Fi and you won’t have trouble finding at least one of them.

Don’t Be Shy

You’ll save yourself a lot of trouble by asking for Wi-Fi whenever possible. Use the opportunity when you’re having a meal or a coffee to ask a waiter for a password if it’s not already provided. The next time you pass that same place, you’ll be able to connect again if you urgently have to check something.

There are many apps out there, such as WiFi Finder and WiFi Map, which can be pretty useful. Install one of them on your phone and master the art of finding free Wi-Fi anywhere you go!
