Pantone has set the standard when it comes to including color in our lives. Each year, the color-matching corporation selects a hue that then makes its way into fashion, household items, accessories, and, as it turns out, travel. The official Pantone Color of the Year 2023 is Viva Magent—here are 3 locations where it shines.

Hutt Lagoon, Australia

If you’ve never seen a pink lake, now is your time to visit Hutt Lagoon in Australia. Located in the Mid-West region of Western Australia, the marine salt lake glows as it transitions between shades of pink, purple, and red, depending on the season and the time of day.

Putra Mosque, Malaysia

The main mosque in the administrative capital of Malaysia, Putrajaya, can accommodate 15,000 worshippers at a time, but that is not the most remarkable thing about it. The structure is made almost entirely of rose-tinted granite, making its dome magnificent from both the outside and within.

Toggle Hotel, Japan

Tokyo’s Toggle Hotel strongly believes in living colorfully. In order to do this, the boutique hotel offers guests rooms in their color of choice. Guests have their pick of green, blue, purple, and yes, magenta.
