Fans of Nickelodeon Have to Check Out This Theme Park in Australia

Fans of Disney movies never struggle to find theme parks dedicated to their favorite movie studio, but those who grew up with Nickelodeon can’t say the same. Amusement parks inspired by their animated classics are few and far between, but Australia happens to be home to one of them—Nickelodeon Land.

Nickelodeon Land isn’t a separate themed park, but an area inside a larger Sea World park. Not to be confused with the American franchise of the same name, Australian Sea World is located on the Gold Coast, Queensland and it’s much more dedicated to the ethical care of sea animals, including rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured, or orphaned wildlife.

Nickelodeon Land is one of its themed areas, and it’s been around since 2015, taking place that was once occupied by Cartoon Network Cartoon Beach and Sesame Street Beach. It currently features six rides, inspired by the beloved Nickelodeon classics that we all grew up with.

Nickelodeon Land has been designed with younger kids in mind, and it doesn’t feature any wild rollercoaster. Dora’s Fiesta Carousel and SpongeBob’s Boating School Blast are two of its biggest draws. In addition to various rides, Nickelodeon Land also offers live shows inspired by PAW Patrol and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
