This epic hike takes in all the best sights of the Pyrenees, are these are the highlights.

Gaube Lake

Nestled in the center of the Pyrenees, this stunning lake is one of the highlights of the GR10 route. Surrounded by snow clad peaks, and appearing azure blue under summer skies, if you’re feeling brave you can take a dip in this glacial lake. Otherwise, just take a moment to enjoy the serenity and the views.

This pretty village is nestled in a peaceful valley, with routes and trails snaking off in every direction. What makes this part of the Pyrenees really intriguing is that you’re in true bear country – so look out for prints and markings as you hike.

Gavarnie Falls

A popular area for hiking, these waterfalls draw a massive crowd in summer, and with good reason. Plunging from the rock, the roar of the waters can be heard from miles away. This is the Pyrenees in all its raw, wild beauty.
