Air conditioning has become one of the top priorities for tourists when looking for accommodation during their summer travels. However, sometimes you will miss out on having AC in your room. And now you’re in trouble.

We all know how tough it can be to get some proper sleep on hot nights without air conditioning. You have a hard time falling asleep, and even when you do, it feels like you didn’t exactly get that energy boost you were expecting. Luckily, there are some things you can do that will help you to cool off your accommodation quickly and get by without AC.

Create Airflow

In order to cool down your accommodation, you need to get the hot air. The best way to do so is to create an efficient airflow. Open your window, your doors, and the hallway window, and your room will be cooler in no time.

Keep the Windows Covered

If you want a cool room, the best way is to stop it from getting hot in the first place. The most efficient way to do this is to block the sunlight from entering your accommodation. This means keeping the curtains shut all the time. And if they are still letting some of the sunlight in, double down by covering the windows with sheets or blankets.

Use a Damp Sheet

This might sound strange, but hanging a damp sheet across an opened window will cool down the air that enters the room and result in much more comfortable temperatures.

Invest in a Portable Mini-AC

A portable mini air-conditioner can help you get a break in times of need. While they won’t cool down the room, they will keep you chilled, which is the most important thing. Also, they are fairly cheap and don’t use up much space.
