How to Travel When Mercury’s in Retrograde

As you may know, when the planet Mercury is in retrograde, travel and other things can get a bit crazy.

The planet is responsible for communication, scheduling, and transportation, so when its orbit slows down and it seems to be moving back to us humans, our travel plans can go a little haywire. Never fear. We have a few tips for you during this turbulent time.

Document your itinerary

Especially if you’re traveling with others, as communication at this time can go wrong. Give everyone access to the file, and you’ll all be in sync.

Confirm your reservations

Not once, not twice, but three times. If you’re traveling somewhere that might not have Wi-Fi, save your accommodation confirmation on several devices to make sure that Mercury doesn’t wipe out the info. And triple-check your bookings.

Leave early

When Mercury is in retrograde, it can seriously affect ground transportation. That includes cabs, trains, and cars. To ensure that you get to where you need to be going, leave two or three times earlier than you ordinarily would have to. Also, make sure you don’t leave anything behind on your mode of transportation. Mercury does that sometimes.
