Valletta, the capital of the Mediterranean island country Malta, is renowned for its immense beauty. Centuries of careful development and influence of different rulers resulted in diverse architecture, astonishing monuments, and an impressive number of tourist attractions.

Grandmaster’s Palace

The Grandmaster’s Palace was built between the 16th and 18th centuries to serve as the residence of Grand Masters of the Order of St. John, the rulers of Malta. Saint John’s Co-Cathedral

Saint John’s Co-Cathedral is arguably Valletta’s most famous landmark. It is famous for its Baroque interior, including carved stone walls, painted ceilings, highly-decorated altars, marble flooring, etc. The design of the interior is now considered one of the finest examples of high Baroque architecture.

Upper Barrakka Gardens

Finally, a visit to Valletta can’t be complete without checking out Upper Barrakka Gardens. The park is ideal for enjoying a relaxing stroll among trees and flowers. You can also explore many of its statues and landmarks and enjoy a scenic view of Valletta’s Grand Harbour and fortifications.
