If you’ve been waiting forever to visit Harry Potter World in Orlando, Florida, you’re certainly not alone. But there’s something you should probably know before going: it’s not all in the same area. In fact, if you want to visit both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, you’ll have to buy two tickets, one for Islands of Adventure and another for Universal Studios. Considering the fact that each of those tickets costs over $100 apiece, you may find yourself torn between which Harry Potter land to choose. If that’s you, here’s how to decide.

Diagon Alley – Universal Studios Florida

If you’re obsessed with all things that have to do with the Harry Potter shopping world, from Gringotts bank, to Ollivander’s, to the Leaky Cauldron, then Diagon Alley is for you. This experience will give you more of the hustle and bustle side of the wizarding world. Plus, you can ride the roller coaster “Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts”.

Hogsmeade – Universal’s Islands of Adventure

If you’re looking for something quieter, Hogsmeade is the place to go. Similar to the books, this is where you’ll be able to have a butterbeer in the Broomstick Inn (a knockoff of the Three Broomsticks), check out the village, and even visit Hogwarts Castle! As far as rides go, one highlight here is “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey”.
