Rideau Hall
This stunning building serves as the official residence of the Canadian monarch and the governor-general, and that’s why it’s known by the nickname the Government House. It was built in Regency style in the 19th century, and its beautifully landscaped grounds are one of its strongest suits.
Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica
One of Ottawa’s main places of worship, this basilica can be found in the close proximity of the National Gallery of Canada. It’s easily visible from a great distance thanks to its tall spires, but it will also win you over with its stained-glass windows and colorful interior.
