If you enjoy spending most of your trip outdoors, parks are probably one of your favorite attractions. Brazil is home to more than we can count, and some of the very best are located in Porto Alegre. If you ever find yourself in this city, take a moment to sit back and relax in these three beautiful parks.

Moinhos de Vento Park

Often referred to as “Windmills Park”, this is one of the quirkiest attractions of its kind that you’ll find in all of Porto Alegre. You can find athletic fields, a kids’ library, and a scenic pond on its grounds, but most people come here to gaze at a replica of an Azorean windmill that it has in store.

Farroupilha Park

One of Porto Alegre’s top attractions, this scenic park offers a little bit of something to everyone who walks through its doors. After checking out its auditorium and market, grab some food at one of the snack bars and complete the experience with a paddleboat ride.

Parque Getúlio Vargas

This park was named after the former Brazilian president Getúlio Vargas, and it’s one of Porto Alegre’s most family-friendly outdoor attractions. It offers everything from sports fields to outdoor grills and picnic spots, and there’s even a tiny zoo on its premises.
