It’s 2023 and practically everyone is on social media—including your favorite airline.

For many, social media is a way to share photos from trips, check-in at exotic locations, and show off the grand places they have visited. But for others, social media is a means to let companies know what you think of them — and how you’ve let them down.

A passenger recently posted a photograph on Twitter that demonstrated how little legroom they had on their Ryanair flight.

“I’m only 5”7,” was the caption which accompanied the image of Steve’s legs scrunched up against the back of the seat in front of him. Ryanair reportedly offers 30 inches of seat pitch in economy, and 32 to 34 inches of seat pitch in its premium cabin.

As a low-cost airline, the European carrier is known for offering cheap ticket fares to countries around the continent. It also has a pretty good social media team.

“You going to update your tinder profile then?” wrote Ryanair’s official Twitter account in response.

The exchange, which clearly mocked the habit of people lying about their height on the dating app, went completely viral. The tweet received more than 65,000 likes and garnered over 7.5 million views.

Steve did not take that remark lying down and replied, “I’m all about personality.”

“We believe you, Steve,” the airline shot back.
