The Las Vegas Boulevard is one of the major roads in Sin City, but casinos and lavish hotels aren’t the only things you’ll notice during your ride. Long before making it to Las Vegas Strip, you’ll be awestruck by a colorful art installation known as Seven Magic Mountains.

Seven Magic Mountains is a public art installation created by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. It consists of 33 limestone boulders stacked atop of each other in seven separate towers, each one between 30 and 35 feet tall. Each stone is painted in a different bright neon color—and that’s exactly the charm of this picturesque spot.

Seven Magic Mountains was first installed in 2016, and it was supposed to stay in the desert for only two years, but its “Las Vegas residency” was extended up until 2021. That’s not surprising, since this art installation became one of Sin City’s most Instagrammable spots, but it’s important to stay careful and avoid climbing the rocks during your visit.

Due to its secluded location in the middle of the desert, Seven Magic Mountains is best accessed by car. There’s no public transportation leading to this spot, but it’s still pretty popular with the tourists, since it’s open to the public and you can visit it at any time—free of charge.
