Are you a fan of Shakespeare? With plays and poems that have left an indelible mark on human culture for what will probably be eternity, there’s plenty to love about the Bard. If you’re one of his fanatics, here are a few locations that you just have to see.

Stratford-Upon-Avon, England

The ultimate destination for Shakespeare fans, Stratford-Upon-Avon is the city where Shakespeare was born and grew up. To this day, you can find actors performing his work live and tour the school (King Edward VI School) that he attended and even the classroom he studied in.

London, England

While you’re in England, you’ll have to drop by London, where you can watch a Shakespeare play in the recreated Globe Theater, only 750 feet from the original location that closed down in 1642. If you’re going to watch Shakespeare performed live, this is the place to do it.

Verona, Italy

Head out of England for a taste of Italy in fair Verona, where the scene was laid for Romeo and Juliet. According to legend, you can actually visit Juliet’s real balcony. Is this true? Only one way to find out.
