There are many things to think about when deciding what to wear on a plane. You have to take into consideration how hot it might get on the flight. You may wonder about the temperature at your destination once you arrive. Heck, you may even think about how comfortable you’ll be in your outfit while hanging out at the airport. Perhaps one of the biggest debates about plane attire comes down to these two clothing items: shorts and pants. Which one is better for a plane ride? Let’s get into it.

Temperature Rising

The main aspect to consider is, obviously, the temperature on the plane. It’s tricky because it can fluctuate pretty dramatically on a plane. One second you’ll feel like the whole contraption is on fire, and a second later you’ll feel like you’re in Alaska. It’s important to prepare accordingly for both of these scenarios, and here’s how.

You can’t wear shorts, because then you’ll be too cold when that AC is circulating hardcore. You also can’t wear jeans or sweatpants, because then you’ll be boiling when that AC randomly stops working. The perfect balance in between is to wear pants that have a light material. It’s not always so easy to find, but they exist. Something airy, breathable, and easy to throw on. It’s the perfect middle ground for a flight, and you’ll be comfortable in all possible scenarios.
