Sometimes the Most Romantic Trip Isn’t the Most Expensive

What does it mean to have a romantic getaway with your loved one? Does it mean that you’ve shelled out thousands of dollars so that they know you really care? Well, perhaps some people express their love in that way, but this doesn’t always have to be the case. Of course, we’re not saying that to encourage you to “get out of anything.” Don’t run off to Mcdonald’s for your anniversary dinner just yet. Here’s what we mean when we say that sometimes the most romantic getaway can happen on a budget.

Something that will be romantic for you and your partner will be something that feels meaningful for both of you. This can be a myriad of different things and sometimes they aren’t the thing that are most expensive. Maybe you and your loved one have an obsession with forests, and an Airbnb cabin in the woods is the perfect idea for you. Or perhaps your girlfriend loves musicals and you can surprise her with two front-row tickets to a show she wants to see.

Again, we’re not saying that you won’t have to spend money. If we’re being frank, you’ll have to spend something. You can’t just cut corners. But what we’re suggesting is that you be smarter with the money you’re spending, instead of just throwing a lot of money at a wall and assuming that it’ll do the trick. If you put well-intentioned thought into where you’ll be going and what you’ll be doing, your romantic outing will be worth more than any amount of funds you may spend.
