]]>Thankfully, there’s something you can do about it: stretch. Yes, even on an airplane, there are stretches you can do that will make you more comfortable and relieve some of your plane pain. Here are the ones we recommend.
To help loosen up any tension in your neck, try out some simple neck stretches. You can turn your head from side to side, up and down, tilting to either direction, and rolling your head in half and full circles first to the left and then to the right.
Sitting up straight and holding your core tight, twist your upper body as far as you can to one side, using your hands on your thighs to get some more torque into the twist. This will give your spine a lot of relief.
Simply rolling your shoulders forwards and backwards can help loosen up your upper body significantly.
You may need to wait until your seatmate gets up to go to the bathroom to do this one, but it’ll be worth it. Cross one ankle over the opposite knee in a figure four, leaning forward with a flat back to feel the stretch in your glute.
