]]>This beach looks like it is on a tropical island. In the summer, visitors flock to the island and this beach to bask in the sun and enjoy the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean. There is a little town on the island full of local artists’ wares, and a vineyard for when you’re done at the beach.
Situated just outside the city of Parksville, Rathtrevor Beach is designed to make you take it all in. When the tide goes out, you can walk for more than a hundred meters. There is a nice campground there with all of the amenities campers need—like showers, picnic areas, and direct beach access.
Vancouver Island is not small by any means, and the West Coast—or Wild Coast as it is known—has beaches that stretch for kilometers. Just outside of the small surf town Tofino is Long Beach. It is 16 kilometers long, and a surfer’s paradise. Tofino—and Ucluelet, a nearby town—offers a variety of accommodations from campgrounds to luxury resorts.
