In the U.S., New York is the fashion destination, and it’s also known for having some of the best fashion schools in the world. Twice a year, designers from all over the world head to New York—including New Yorkers, Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford, and Donna Karan—to show off their newest creations.
It’s no wonder designers Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Christopher Kane, and Stella McCartney hail from the UK, as the top fashion schools in the world—including Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion—are in the British capital. London Fashion Week, which is held twice a year, is also a must-see.
Accessories make an outfit—and no city does bags, sunglasses, watches, and shoes better than Milan. Milan has a Fashion Week twice a year, and the city is home to Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Gianni Versace, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana (Dolce & Gabbana), and Miuccia Prada.
