]]>Beautiful Hindu temples are scattered all across Singapore, but what sets Sri Mariamman Temple apart is the fact it’s the oldest one. It’s been around since 1827, and it will rock your world with its entrance decorated with vibrant figures of deities, built in the Dravidian style.
Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple was built in 1855 and it’s strikingly similar to Sri Mariamman Temple. They’re both intricately decorated with colorful figures, just like many other Hindu temples, but what sets this one apart is its instantly recognizable pyramid-shaped tower.
Unlike the previous two temples, this one doesn’t need lively figurines to look straight out of a fairy tale. Built in the Tang dynasty–style in the heart of Singapore’s Chinatown, this temple borrows its name from the tooth relic that it houses, which allegedly belonged to the historical Buddha.
