Many countries in Europe love cafe culture–meaning they love spending hours sitting at a cafe, drinking coffee or having a pastry. What’s the best thing to do while doing nothing? People watching! When you sit facing the street, you get to watch everything going on, which is kind of like entertainment!

Increase Awareness of Their Surroundings

If you have your back facing the street, you are more vulnerable. You can’t see if someone is coming up behind you, which could make you more likely to be a victim of theft. Keeping your back to the wall (and your bag away from the street) prevents this from happening.

It Can Be Very Hard

If your idea of a digital nomad life is to travel, take photos, post them on Instagram, and magically earn money from that, we have to tell you that the reality is typically more difficult. There are so many people trying this exact thing, and the number of those who succeed is terribly low. A digital nomad lifestyle requires you to do the actual work, spend hours every day on your laptop or phone, and that can get frustrating when you’d rather explore a new area instead.

There are so many options for remote work, and we’re just starting to be aware of them all.
