]]>Etosha is the first national park that comes to mind when someone mentions Namibia and you shouldn’t miss it for the world. It’s best known for its diverse landscapes that include a coastal desert and a salt pan so large it can be seen from space. Etosha is also home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds, and reptiles, including endangered black rhinoceros.
With 1.6 million birds recorded on its grounds, Dorob is heaven on Earth for bird lovers. The national park is covered with dune and gravel plains, but that’s not stopping it from being home to around 75 species of birds, most notably one of Namibia’s flagship species Damara tern.
Located in the middle of Namib Desert, this park isn’t exactly bursting with life like the previous two. It’s mostly populated with snakes, hyenas, and other desert animals, and a clay pan called Sossusvlei is its most popular tourist attraction, partially thanks to the high red dunes that surround it.
