If you’re a lover of music and live concerts, you’re probably always on the hunt for a fun venue that showcases artists in the best light. Some venues are known for their ability to set the mood better than others, and Terminal 5 in New York City is one of them. Here’s why you should definitely see a concert there next time you’re in Manhattan.

It’s Smaller

Bigger doesn’t always mean better when it comes to seeing live music. The smaller the venue is, the more intimate of an experience it becomes—which is great if you love the artist. Terminal 5 has a general admission fee, and you can pretty much choose to get as close as you want to the front, assuming you get there early enough.

It’s Super Popular

Terminal 5 also happens to be one of the coolest and most popular places to see a show in Manhattan these days. It’s no Radio City or Madison Square Garden, but it’s also not trying to be. You’re getting a much more raw experience when seeing an artist at this venue. You can move around as you please, not chained to any specific seat, row, or section. It’s pretty much a party wherever you are on the floor!

There are many different levels to traveling. When you go to a place you’ve never been to, it’s natural to want to see all of the “important” things there are to see. However, just because something is a landmark or a special work of art, doesn’t mean it’s necessarily the most important thing you need to do. New York City, for instance, has endless touristy things to visit, such as the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty. But if you’re looking to travel to Manhattan and do something different than normal tourists, here are some things you can do.

A Speakeasy

When the sun goes down and the bars open up, one great thing you can do in Manhattan is to check out a speakeasy. A speakeasy is a hidden bar that usually has something edgy or hip about it, and is often in unusual locations, like in the back room of a coffee shop. NYC has a ton of these!

Central Park

Central Park is an incredibly famous place, so you may be able to classify it as something touristy. However, because there isn’t much to do there, it tends to be shockingly low on most tourists’ destinations—so make sure to check it out!

A Sports Game

With so many landmarks in Manhattan, many tourists pass over one of the most iconic aspects of NYC—its sports history. Check out a Yankees or Knicks game, and you’ll truly learn what it means to be a New Yorker!

When it comes to New York, everything from its architecture and food to the art scene and nature is top of the line—and that also happens to be the case with its bridges. Here are five stunning bridges that will make you fall in love with the Big Apple all over again.

Brooklyn Bridge

A visit to NYC is incomplete if you don’t cross this iconic bridge built in 1883, which connects two of the city’s most iconic boroughs—Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Manhattan Bridge

Speaking of iconic bridges connecting these two neighborhoods, Manhattan Bridge serves the same purpose. Make sure to check out Brooklyn’s Dumbo area to get some of the best views of this breathtaking bridge.

George Washington Bridge

This double-decked suspension bridge spans the Hudson River and it was built in 1931 to allow an easy connection between Manhattan and New Jersey.

Robert F. Kennedy Bridge

Another NYC bridge named after an American president, this bridge system is also known as Triborough Bridge because it does a great job connecting three of New York’s boroughs—Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx.

Queensboro Bridge

Officially known as Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, this cantilever bridge connects the borough of Queens with Manhattan’s Upper East Side, while also passing over Roosevelt Island.
