]]>Art might be subjective, but Musée d’Orsay has a collection of impressionist and post-impressionist paintings that are simply gorgeous. Most of the art there focuses on the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th century, with legendary artists like Monet, Van Gogh, and others on display.
Located in the former home of French artist Auguste Rodin, this museum offers art from the 1700s, including “The Thinker” made by Rodin himself.
This botanical garden will sweep you right off your own feet. The Jardin des Plantes offers alpine gardens, hothouses, and even a zoo if you’re feeling it. It has plenty of art from the 18th century and covers a lot of natural history from around the world.
And last, but certainly not least, is The Louvre. Hands down the most famous of them all, it holds over 38,000 artifacts including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Michelangelo’s Dying Slave, and countless others. Honestly, you might have to dedicate an entire trip just to see a fraction of this place!
