Sydney Opera House is one of the timeless symbols of Australia’s biggest city. It’s one of the most recognizable buildings in the entire world, but there are several buildings that look just like it scattered all around the globe, including these three.

Lotus Temple (New Delhi, India)

One of New Delhi’s most popular attractions, Lotus Temple borrows its name from the beautiful flower it strikingly resembles. It’s composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad “petals”, and its white walls and unique shape make it quite similar to Sydney Opera House.

Auditorio de Tenerife (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain)

Located in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, one of the capitals of the Canary Islands, Auditorio de Tenerife is the dead ringer for Sydney Opera House. The auditorium’s great arc makes it stand out, but the design of the two buildings is still quite similar and Santa Cruz even earned itself the nickname “Sydney of the Atlantic” because of this building.

SEC Armadillo (Glasgow, Scotland)

One of the venues for Scottish Event Campus, SEC Armadillo is often compared to Sydney Opera House, but it wasn’t actually inspired by this building. Its design is supposed to pay homage to River Clyde’s shipbuilding heritage and it’s reminiscent of ship’s hulls.

When you are obsessed with architecture and interior design, theaters are the buildings you want to visit. There are so many unique and opulent ones around the world, so we decided to show you our favorites.

Elgin And Winter Garden Theaters, Toronto

This is officially one of the most unique theaters in the world. Elgin and Winter Garden Theaters are two separate halls, both feature equally amazing interior design. The Winter Garden has actual beech leaves and cotton blossoms on the ceiling.

Palau De La Musica, Barcelona

Just like the rest of the architecture in Barcelona, this huge hall follows the colorful interior design trend. It is absolutely among the top five things you have to check out when you visit the city of Gaudi.

Minack Theatre, Cornwall

Located in an outdoorsy picturesque area, Minack Theatre is what you need to see at least once in a lifetime. It is not the ordinary opulent architecture you’re used to. Instead, you can listen to the waves while also following your favorite play.

Sydney Opera House, Sydney

The Opera House is one of the world’s greatest architectural wonders. Australians made sure to put themselves on the cultural world map by constructing this shell-like building, which is as opulent as they get. It is equally fascinating on the inside as well.
