……………………………………………………………………… Let's start the week with a fairy tale hour under the open sky. At the fairy tale playground at Von-der-Schulenburg-Park in Neukölln you will meet many characters from the famous fairy tale collections of the Brothers Grimm. The highlight of the playground is the large gray climbing castle which can be climbed using ropes, ramps, a climbing wall and suspension bridges, among other things. For smaller kids there is a separate play area for digging, climbing and sliding. When people become parents, the reality of traveling and visiting new places undeniably changes. Instead of spending time doing the things that adults would choose to do, you have to start taking into account your children and how to keep them entertained.

Fortunately, this doesn’t mean that you have to have a bad time! Instead of spending all of your time at children’s museums, it’s possible to do things that’ll satisfy both parents and kids alike.

Here are four suggestions for parent and kid-friendly activities.

Zoos

Zoological parks are a great way to spend a day on vacation. Your kids will get to see animals and enjoy child-friendly activities, and you’ll have a great time as well.

Beaches

Going to the beach is a fantastic activity both for adults and kids. Adults can relax, take a walk, or have a swim, while kids are able to explore and experience new sights and sensations.

Science Museums

Children’s museums are nice, but they can bore the average adult after a while. Science museums that aren’t marketed for children, however, are appropriate for all ages, because they generally involve kid-friendly exhibitions and activities as well!

Aquariums

Aquariums, like zoos, cater to all ages. Adults will be fascinated by the marine life and scientific knowledge that they offer, while children will find plenty to do in zones designated for them. It’s a win-win!

Traveling with a toddler can be a nightmare without sufficient preparation. With the correct things packed and ready to use you can make the experience a whole lot less stressful.

Stock your diaper bag with these:

24 hours’ supply of diapers.

Wipes for ‘accidents’ and sticky hands.

A couple of spare outfits (bearing pending weather conditions along your route and at your destination). Toddlers tend to require a change of clothes at least once daily.

Bottles or sippy cups and snacks to keep your toddler’s appetite satisfied.

Movies, books, or toys for entertainment. It may be wise to select a combination of the three. Make sure the batteries are working.

Medicine that you may need if your toddler takes ill.

Pack your toddler’s luggage with these:

  1. A fresh change of clothes for each day of the trip and another 2 for in case. Don’t forget shoes!
  2. Toiletries such as shampoo, soap, etc.
  3. Extra diapers, wipes, etc.
  4. Their blankie or other comfort toys that help them to sleep.

Don’t forget a sturdy collapsible stroller or else you’ll be carrying your toddler everywhere.
