]]>If you’re anything like me, you probably associate the transition period between cold winters and warm summers in this Northern European country with the beautiful and striking blooming of tulips, which paint the Dutch countryside with color every March, April, and May.
Are you interested in seeing these flowers in bloom in the most beautiful place to see them in the entire country? Well, then you’ll need to take a trip to Keukenhof, the Netherlands’ garden par excellence.
Located on what was formerly a hunting ground, in 1949, the mayor of Lisse decided to establish a park to advertise and promote Holland’s most beautiful tulip varieties. It still continues on that mission to this day.
This massive, 79-acre park contains over 7 million tulip flowers annually and gives you a chance to see some of the most striking colors that you’ll see in any flower in the world. The meticulously-planted designs and rows give you a chance to appreciate the true art that can be made by these world-famous flowers.
Be sure to visit Keukenhof in the spring if you’re a tulip lover and want to see them at their peak!
